Scott A. Andrews, 64, a lifelong resident of Bennington, Vermont, passed away on July 5, 2026. His passing is felt deeply in the community, as many locals remember him for his dedication and craftsmanship.

Born on February 25, 1962, in Bennington, Scott was the son of the late John P. Andrews and Pauline (LaBrie) Andrews. He grew up in the area, attended local schools, and graduated from Mount Anthony Union High School, where he was known for his prowess as a varsity wrestler.

Throughout his career, Scott earned a reputation as a skilled residential painter, noted for his strong work ethic and pride in his work. He was a familiar face around town, contributing to the community in various ways.

Community Connections

Scott was a friend of the Bennington VFW Post #1332 and an Auxiliary member of the Bennington Eagles. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing and hunting and loved to travel across the country. His stubbornness was often balanced by a good sense of humor, making him a cherished friend to many.

He is survived by his sister, Linda Wescott (Anthony), brothers John Andrews (Bridget) and Allen Andrews (Rebecca), along with nieces Ashley Mattison, Jessica Powers, and Abby Andrews, and nephew Quinn Andrews. He also leaves behind an aunt, Rachel Lauzon, and many cousins, extended family members, and friends. Scott was predeceased by his nephews Ethan, John, and Dylan Andrews.
