Warm and Foggy Days Ahead for Bennington

Good morning, Bennington! As we step into the weekend, expect warm temperatures and some foggy conditions, particularly during the mornings. Today, we’ll see a high around 83°F with a low near 67°F. The fog may impact visibility on roads, especially along US-7 and VT-9, so be cautious during your morning commute.

Tomorrow, Saturday, July 11, will bring slightly cooler temperatures with a high of 81°F and a low of 66°F. The skies will be overcast, but no precipitation is expected. Winds will pick up a bit, reaching up to 11 mph, so keep that in mind if you’re heading out for outdoor activities.

On Sunday, July 12, we’ll see even cooler temperatures with a high of 77°F and a low of 54°F. The overcast conditions will persist, but thankfully, no rain is in the forecast. Winds will be lighter, making it a pleasant day for hiking in the Green Mountain National Forest or enjoying the trails around Mount Anthony and Lake Paran.

As we enjoy these warm summer days, remember to stay hydrated and protect yourself from the sun if you’re spending time outdoors. Also, check on your neighbors, especially those who may be more vulnerable to the heat. And don’t forget to give your pets plenty of water and shade.

Bottom line: Warm, foggy mornings and overcast afternoons are on tap for the next few days, making it a great time to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Bennington County while staying cautious on the roads.
