Seymour R Brooks 8/2/1947 - 5/22/2026 Seymour R Brooks of North Bennington, VT, passed away peacefully at the home of Connie and Andrew Knapp in Hebron, NY with his loving family by his side following a courageous battle of cancer. Seymour was born on August 2, 1947, in Pownal, VT to Seymour V. And Kathryne (Blanchard) Brooks. Seymour and the love of his life of 60 years, Harriet Burgess Harrington had six children together, Cindy Myers (Ed), Connie Knapp (Andy), Edward Harrington (Angela), Judy Brooks (Life) and Rusty Brooks (Robin).

Seymour R Brooks of North Bennington, VT, passed away peacefully at the home of Connie and Andrew Knapp in Hebron, NY with his loving family by his side following a courageous battle of cancer.

Seymour was born on August 2, 1947, in Pownal, VT to Seymour V. And Kathryne (Blanchard) Brooks.

Seymour and the love of his life of 60 years, Harriet Burgess Harrington had six children together, Cindy Myers (Ed), Connie Knapp (Andy), Edward Harrington (Angela), Judy Brooks (Life) and Rusty Brooks (Robin).

He sadly leaves behind his children, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren who loved him

dearly. He was known to his grandchildren as “papa fart”.

He is survived by his sister Janet Bisson and a brother Theodore Brooks (Doris).

Seymour was pre deceased by his son Ricky Brooks and the love of his life Harriet (Burgess) Harrington, a sister Alice Frost (Bill), a brother Anthony Brooks (Verna) and a brother in law Chub Bisson.

All of Seymour’s grandkids held a very special place in his heart and he will be deeply missed by everyone of them.

Seymour was a lifetime member of the North Bennington Fire Department. He was also a member of the White Creek Fire Department.

Seymour also loved Hunting, Fishing and spending time with his family and grandkids.

Per his request, there will be no services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to High Peaks Hospice and the many who helped with the care of Seymour.
